The Youth Residential Rehabilitation Service (YRRS) is a strength-based, recovery orientated residential program. We support young people aged between 16-21 years who are recovering from mental ill health, with up to 12 months residential-based support.
In a safe, home-like environment, the service provides clients with individual and group-based supports promoting resilience, interpersonal skills, enhanced social connections, life skills, access to the community and a greater sense of being able to make sound decisions. Young people benefit from sharing their experiences and recovery journeys whilst growing their confidence and skills to live independently in the community.
We are seeking a self-motivated, empathetic Community Mental Health Practitioner - Peer Practitioner for a permanent part-time (32 hours per week), working across a 24/7 roster. You will have the chance to utilise your lived experience of mental ill health to deliver person-centred, recovery-oriented care to support young people with developing social and community connections, building daily living skills, and living independently while achieving their recovery goals.
