ABOUT THE GREENS NSW

The Greens Party movement is based on the four pillars of social equity and economic justice, ecological sustainability, grassroots democracy, and peace, nonviolence and disarmament. Greens parties across the world share these same principles and values.

In NSW we have 7 Members of Parliament, two Senators in the Federal Parliament, and 60 local government Councillors. We are comprised of 60 local groups across the state.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will work closely with the State Campaign Team to support the communication goals of the campaign.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating campaign materials including flyers, corflutes, banners, stickers and other artwork to support key campaign launches using templates
  • Creating how-to-vote templates for the local government campaign
  • Designing campaign advertising artwork and materials
  • Coordinate printing of campaign material
  • Ensuring all artwork is fit for print by ensuring artwork is compliant with relevant copyright and electoral laws
  • Working with the Campaign to devise key campaign message artwork
  • Update candidate pages on the Greens on Council Wordpress website
  • Ability to proactively create artwork, not just as instructed
  • Co-ordinate printing of HTV and other materials

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

The Design & Production Coordinator must meet the following essential requirements:

  1. Demonstrated commitment to the core principles of The Greens
  2. Extensive knowledge and experience in Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and other Creative Suite applications
  3. Understanding of the printing process and the appropriate artwork formats for printing
  4. Demonstrated ability to build effective interpersonal relationships and work collaboratively

Desirable:

  1. Previous experience of political campaigns
  2. Knowledge of local government issues

Note: Occasional evening and weekend work and travel within NSW will be required.

Successful candidates must not be a member of another political party.

PAY AND CONDITIONS

  • Salary: $87,405.69 FTE p.a pro rata. + 12% superannuation, subject to CPI increase commencing July 1.
  • Primary Location: The Greens NSW Office in Camperdown.
  • Hours: Part time at 14 hrs/wk until 26 July, then 28 hrs/wk, fixed term contract until 14 September 2024.
  • Status: Part-time fixed term contract.
  • Position begins: June 2024
  • Covered by: The Greens NSW Staff Collective Agreement.
