We are currently recruiting for Registered Nurse / Practice Nurse roles in the following locations:

• Newington (includes day surgery unit)

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse / Practice Nurse plays an important role in supporting the strategic directions of Family Planning Australia. This is a multi-faceted role responsible for the provision of high quality reproductive and sexual health clinical services to Family Planning Australia clients and is required to work effectively in a team environment.

Base Full Time Salary: $62,629 - $90,408 (salary is based on experience)

Essential criteria

• Primary nursing degree with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Post graduate qualification in reproductive and sexual health nursing (RSH CAP or equivalent) – theory component
• Minimum 2 years post-graduate clinical experience with previous experience in reproductive and sexual health
• Experience working with priority populations including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, young people, people with disability, LGBTQ people and/or culturally and linguistically diverse people
• High level interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated ability to effectively utilise electronic medical record systems
• Skills in LARC insertion (implant and/or IUD) or willingness to be trained in same
• Must have Australian working rights

Desirable criteria

• Post graduate qualification in reproductive and sexual health nursing (RSH CAP or equivalent) – practical component
• Previous experience in peri-operative nursing, clinical instruction and/or clinical research
• Ability and willingness to participate in FIFO service delivery in Western NSW

Other requirements

• A Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check are required prior to commencement
• Immunisation/vaccination requirements apply
