About Us

EWON is the industry-based Ombudsman scheme which provides all NSW energy and some water customers with independent, free, informal dispute resolution services.

We work towards achieving fair and reasonable complaint outcomes for all parties, provide leading customer service and influence energy and water public policy. EWON is not a consumer or industry advocate.

The Role

EWON is seeking a highly resilient and engaged Executive Assistant to the Ombudsman/CEO to provide high level advisory support. This is a diverse, fast-paced role which requires resilience, exemplary organisational skills, attention to detail and strong written skills.

Reporting to the Ombudsman/CEO, you will provide a range of executive level support services, including but not limited to:

  • Diary management, prepare agendas, reports, meeting documentation and minute taking
  • Draft high-quality correspondence on behalf of the Ombudsman/CEO and ensure adherence to tight timeframes
  • Prepare Board and Committee papers for review by the Ombudsman and finalise meeting papers for the Company Secretary
  • Manage and coordinate Ombudsman Member, Stakeholder, ANZOA and ANZEWON events, when at EWON, including draft Ombudsman reports and coordinating room logistics
  • Coordinate and execute Management Team and Leadership Team off site meetings
  • Organise meetings with State/Federal Ministers and other senior industry stakeholders
  • Ensure the annual corporate calendar of events are aligned with key governance and compliance requirements

Knowledge and experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business administration or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in executive support preferably supporting a CEO in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote), Adobe and the ability to quickly learn in-house applications
  • Possesses strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines and demonstrated approach to problem solving
  • Highly developed written skills in the execution of report writing, agendas, meeting minutes and other required documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels
