The Cancer Epidemiology Division (CED) conducts a broad range of research aimed at expanding our understanding of the factors that contribute to or protect against the development of cancer, or survival following a cancer diagnosis. It comprises a multidisciplinary team of epidemiologists, statisticians, dieticians, data managers and support staff, committed to understanding how to improve our efforts at cancer control.

About your opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Administration Officer to join the Cancer Epidemiology Division. Reporting to the Unit Leader, Research Operations your role is to:

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including CCV legal counsel and CCV Risk and Compliance to prepare research agreements that comply with relevant legislative and operational requirements.
  • Assist with preparing research ethics and governance applications
  • Maintain research administration systems, including updating the CED EndNote library and loading contracts to the contract administration.
  • Assist with research impact reporting activities, such as collecting data and writing case studies that demonstrate the impact of CED research.

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Advanced Diploma in a relevant field and/or demonstrated relevant industry experience
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience writing and editing high-quality materials for a range of target audiences in a research environment
  • Strong organisation skills, with an ability to work autonomously and the proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Substantial experience maintaining administrative systems, preferably in a research environment
